The Hearing Loss Association of America of Greater Baltimore (HLAA-GBC).

 

The chapter meets serveral times a year. Hearing loss meetings open to the public, as well as a summer picnic and winter holiday party.

 

Hearing loss meetings are held throughout the year, except for December, July, and August.

Early-bird Convention registration is OPEN!

Register Online or Offline
Registration is a bit different this year. Please note what is/isn't included during the registration process.
Increased rates will begin April 1 and continue through May 31 when pre-convention registration closes. On-site registration will be available as well.

  • Online – fill out the Online Registration and registration will be a breeze; you will receive a confirmation letter by email.
  • Offline – download and complete the Registration Form and mail, fax or email the form to us. We will process it and mail you a confirmation letter.

State and Chapter leaders (and delegates), please use the State/Chapter Registration form. Online registration is NOT available for your discounted registration. Refer to the registration guidelines prior to registering. 

Veterans and Caregivers (Free Registration for 1st Timers)
HLAA is offering a complimentary registration for veterans and their caregivers who are attending their first HLAA Convention as a small token of our gratitude. Please download and complete the 
Veterans Registration form and send it to convention@hearingloss.org.

Catch a glimpse of our action-packed visit to “Mill City:”

  • Interested in presenting a workshop at HLAA2018? Call for Papers is now OPEN
  • The opening night Get Acquainted Party, or Disco GAP, will include light fare, entertainment, and a cash bar
  • The National Awards Breakfast & Ceremony  will be held on Thursday morning
  • The State and Chapter Awards Ceremony and Reception will be held on Wednesday evening. Yup, you read right! The awards ceremony is being split into two separate events. This ceremony will highlight state/chapter awards, while the national awards will be presented on Thursday morning.
  • Sunday will be available for optional tours – more information coming soon! You will want to take some time to explore Minneapolis and the surrounding area. There is so much to see and do!
  • Educational workshops will focus on: Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT), Advocacy, Living with Hearing Loss, Hearing Aids & Cochlear Implants, and Hearing Health Care

An Evening with Mandy Harvey

Mandy HarveyMany of you may have heard or seen Mandy Harvey on this season of America’s Got Talent. Mandy is an award winning singer, songwriter and motivational speaker who has a hearing loss. Her appearance on America’s Got Talent got her the “golden buzzer” from Simon Cowell to pass to the next round. The emotional video of her performance went viral, touching people all over the world.

We are elated to announce that YOU get to experience an Evening with Mandy Harvey at the HLAA2018 Convention! Mandy and her band will be performing on Friday, June 22, 2018.
