Join us to learn how a world of new technology – assistive listening devices (ALDs) – can make life easier and safer for those of us who are hard-of-hearing or deaf. The ALDs work with our existing ears, hearing aids or cochlear implants to amplify our hearing and alert us to important sounds in our environment.
Denise Schuler, MS, ATP, of the Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MDTAP), will explain and demonstrate many devices and enable us to try them.
Learn firsthand how an ALD can help you.
You may wish to browse the online inventory of MDTAP and let Denise know via email
(dschuler@mdtap.org) before the meeting if something therein is of particular interest to you.
