The Hearing Loss Association of America of Greater Baltimore (HLAA-GBC).


The chapter meets serveral times a year. Hearing loss meetings open to the public, as well as a summer picnic and winter holiday party.


Hearing loss meetings are held throughout the year, except for December, July, and August.

Step up for better communication access. Take action and raise awareness!

  1. Show your support for the Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act of 2017, [S. 670 or HR1652].Find out why this helps all people with hearing loss. Let people know about it on social media. Use #CommAccess and #HLAA4OTC.
  2. Advocate on your own behalf. For example, request a captioning device at the movie theater or get a captioned telephone. Here’s a list of suggestions to help you get started.
  3. Share this Communications Tip Card with family, friends, and co-workers to help others understand how to better communicate with you.

Whatever you do, post what you did on social media. Take a selfie or send a message and use#CommAccess! (Add #HLAA4OTC for supporting the OTC Bill.)
